Sandy, Inc. founded in 1952, designs and manufacturers custom retail displays. The company is located in a 33,000 square foot facility in North Kansas City, Missouri. From concept to build, all displays are created to meet our client's own style and branding. Using a consultative sales approach, we are able to help customers differentiate themselves from their competitors and help them sell more products.

Our Founder

Hal Sandy founded Hal Sandy Associates as a marketing and advertising agency in 1952. When Hal sold the business in the mid 70’s, we took the name of Sandy, Inc. Hal Sandy lived in Prairie Village, Kansas, and was the creator of the “smiling Jayhawk,” the current version of the Kansas Jayhawk. Sandy created the Jayhawk in 1946 when he was a journalism student at KU and the administration wanted to revamp the “fighting Jayhawk.” Sandy said he created only one version of the Jayhawk, and it was the only cartoon he ever drew.
